It's really more like 11 minutes of animation with another 7 minutes of fluff.
The music choices didnt work out well this time around....and wtf is with Smite pulling a WHEN I WAS! Horrific.
The voice acting was too low in the mix to hear what they were saying often and alot of the voice acting from what i could make out lacked the appropriate emotion and/or timing of the scene.
The graphics were far too often funny...funny because they looked retarded....blob arms, one eye bigger than another or looking off in another direction, etc.
Story wise not much happened....a whole lot of buildup on the core storyline without any payoff while you waste alot of time doing mario fanservice. Yeah it was cool in Reboot 7 but thats because it was an interesting representation of Smite fucking up the computer, deleting stuff. It's been 2 episodes.....shouldnt he be on to other files by now? Was there a point to Luigi being tied up strapped with a bomb other than trying to make mario fanbois cream their pants?
All and all i'd like to see you strip back the nonsense so you can get back to the story......the yellow kid still hasnt done anything since he was introduced....besides say "wtf" alot.
Also i'd like my name off the credits.
What a surprise, Ryan Lambourne wants attention!?!?
cute
That was cute. A nice story with a beginning middle and end (something rare on newgrounds). The character animation was a bit lacking due to the tweening and i feel it couldve used some sound effects.... but youre clearly gonna get laid for making it so my score probably doesnt matter to you.
As for converting to video... camtasia is pretty simple to use. Other than that you could just switch your movieclips to graphic clips (would have to lose the filters) and export it from flash.
Thanks for the suggestions, but i can't use Camtasia, cause i have a Mac. I am using Macromedia Flash 8 Professional. and anytime i export it from flash to quicktime, no matter what video encoder i use, the frame rate or something in the animations doesn't translate properly. I've also tried screen capture apps. but all the ones for Mac seem to be retarded.
smallpox + blankets
Extremely well animated... but i also found it incredibly boring.
Also i didnt feel the music mixed well with the animation.
Not great entertainment but im sure it will look great in your resume.
On top of that.....it looks like it was made in flash.....if so, why did you convert it to video? Youve only raised the filesize and lowered the quality.
It was made in Flash but because all of the movie's content was too huge for one file, I put it all together in After Effects. I understand that it lower its quality with a high file-size; sorry for the inconvience.
u win k?

i watched it twice...
...second time, fished it out of cache so i could watch it on the comp for minimum lag (and so everything got processed appropriately in my head). OK.....
The graphics have improved steadily from ep7 although theres plenty of room for improvement. Some of the hand animation in the scene before Angel Blue bugged me particularly. Aswell, I think you should go back to how Smite's style was in 7.
The style just continues to perfect. Im at a loss for words when theres nothing wrong so....yeah.
The music id say is a part of the style and you use them together to perfection creating gorgeous moments such as using the smb3 septor grab music during the building fall......delicious.
The voice work is the weakest of anything (ohshit im gonna be out of a job now!), the megaman and icarus voice being identical is not good and giving Link a voice at all will cause Buddha or whoever to deduct from your karma...and really i dont think this needs voices at all, the talking points seem to be distinctly separated from action scenes aswell as being well spaced out and short making reading a breeze and not distracting at all. The sporadic voice acting in my opinion adds to it...id have just left the intro and some of blue's lines voiced.
- Think about the voice acting like part of the music, together filling the emotional void of the images. -
STORY! The substance that makes the style worthwhile. Finally some payoff! The fact that it took 8 episodes to get to Blue's payoff i'd say would be a big part of the reason youre gonna have a hard time attracting new (real) fans...atleast in this medium... if this were a straight outta JP anime series youd be BIG.
Anyways....my train of thought is getting jumbled....its good shit, cant wait for BLUE VS SMITE!
god...
Hilarious. The story is so horribly cliche and simplistic it's funny.
Unfortunately its not intended so its just bad...
Cheap south park style with even less actual animation, bad voice acting, cheesy music, horrible horrible horrible story.
I give it a 1/10 for existing.
Still...pretty funny.
