That sucked. Usually i say why it sucked but im pretty sure all of you know why (read title). The only one that was any good was snare's animation but a single good apple doesnt unspoil the bunch.....or something like that.

The character design was interesting and the "camera" work was stylish. The action could use a bit more work, a good action flick makes the viewer feel the impact of every hit.
Specifically, For single enemy scenes the action needs to slow down a bit and in general the hits should look more devestating. A character being hit then simply falling to the ground doesnt cut it.
Next to fix would be the music, the music used didnt feel action-packed enough to fit nor was it anti-action enough (putting beautiful classical music in an action scene would be an example of anti-action...which often works very well).
And thirdly, not to sound like a vampire but it could use some blood...yknow, a splash of color.

First up, the good ol' if(this.hitTest(that)) isnt gonna cut it for the precise nature of a mario game (or any sidescroller for that matter). I advise looking into shape hitTest, bounds test, etc.

You get one point for humor because of the ridiculously stupid box that explains the controls. You have to explain the controls BEFORE people are able to jump and hit the box.

The hitTest on the castle flails were completely unacceptable, far too big (shape test was most definitely nessecary here) and hit mario even when he was well away from it.

NO MUSIC/SOUND IN THE PRELOADER!...its annoying.

And finally...in my personal opinion, dont use SMW sprites...theyre lame. If you have to use Mario sprites (or you COULD get someone to draw original characters, levels) use sprites from SMB3, the best Mario game ever (include Tanooki Suit or die).
